Oh, I forgot one other thing that I did a couple days ago. There has been an ammo shortage pretty much since the point when COVID became a thing, and it has gotten worse as people have been watching the riots and craziness in various cities across the nation. 😐 So when I was window shopping on Vance’s site and saw that Blazer Brass 115g 9mm was in stock, I went for a ride to see if I could snag a couple boxes. 🙂
I figured I would get there and there’d be maybe a case or two that was put out on the shelves, already partially picked through, but nope… they had half-a-skid of the stuff. 😲😃 Granted, at $22.99/box it was more than it normally would have been, but beggars can’t be choosers at the moment. (There are GunTubers that are still travelling hours for theirs. 😲) I ended up talking “gun stuff” to a fella behind the counter, getting some education from ex-law enforcement, for about 15 minutes… and he mentioned that even they were surprised when they saw how much showed up in that one delivery.
But I feel pretty good with the amount that I’ve got now. Especially given everything that I just described about my shoulder’s reaction to a little bit of landscaping, it’s obvious that I do need to get out to a range to practice when I’m back to normal. Just so I know how my shoulder and neck will react to shooting, and to make sure that I can still be safe and capable if needed. 😎 But not this weekend, that’s for damn sure. 😅 But after the recent trip to Vance’s, I’ve now got plenty of target/extra ammo now (for whenever I end up going) to go along with the two mags’ worth of home defense rounds it’s normally loaded with. 🙂👍🏻
